Ski companies preparing for a successive slow year are keen to make up for last year's shortfall, and are not making as many beds as available. Companies struggling to break even are cutting back on consumer-friendly deals, making it ever harder to travel on the cheap - bad news for those looking to find a budget Christmas deal to ski resorts.
